Strategies for Children, Inc. (SFC) is an award-winning, independent, privately-funded statewide advocacy and policy organization that works to ensure that children in Massachusetts have access to high-quality early education and become proficient readers by the end of third grade. Through public policy, advocacy, research, constituency building and public awareness. SFC:

Spearheads the pioneering work of the statewide Early Education for All Campaign, whose policy vision and advocacy laid the foundation for the commonwealth’s successful application for a $50 million federal Race to the Top—Early Learning Challenge competitive grant.

	Is implementing the recommendations in "Turning the Page: Refocusing Massachusetts for Reading Success," the report SFC commissioned in 2010, to improve children's literacy through legislation and alignment of practice, policy and research.
	Collaborates with the Irene E. and George A. Davis Foundation and its citywide Read! campaign to ensure that all children in Springfield, MA, read at grade level by the end of third grade.
	Mobilizes leaders from business, early childhood, labor, religion, health care and other sectors to work together to improve children’s lives.
	Provides technical assistance, consulting services and presentations to advocacy, philanthropic, business, academic and civic organizations committed to improving the lives of children and families.
	Disseminates information on children and families through publications and commissioned research, the Eye on Early Education blog, multimedia presentations, and earned media.
