In June, Samantha Aigner-Treworgy was chosen as the new commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care. This event is an opportunity to welcome our new Commissioner to Massachusetts and join colleagues from across the state to reconnect and recommit to our work on behalf of children, educators and families.

Legislative Hearing: Early Education and Care
The Joint Committee on Education held a public hearing for all early education and care bills filed for the 2019-2020 legislative session. Parents, teachers and advocates called on elected officials to increase access to high-quality, affordable child care, expand preschool, increase educator salaries, and other priorities.
