In Massachusetts
Currently, 80% of Massachusetts' kindergarteners are in full-day programs, up from 38% in 2000. This expansion was made possible in part through the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's Kindergarten Development Grant program. In partnership with others, EEA has helped secure $27.45 million in cumulative new investments for FDK expansion grants since fiscal 2006.
