Children's Place helps fulfill education goals Kudos to the Cape Cod Times for recommending that early childhood education from birth to kindergarten could be "our country's next greatest investment" (editorial, July 12, 2007.) Your editorial recognizes that programs for children from birth to age 5 are an economic and social issue, as well as an education issue. As working families continue to leave the Cape, driven out by high housing costs and shortage of child care, let us choose to support the programs that keep our work force here, keep our families strong, and invest in our youngest children. This Saturday offers an opportunity to support Cape Cod Children's Place with our annual Lunchbox Auction fundraiser at Blue Heron Gallery in Wellfleet, 5-7:30 p.m. Elizabeth Aldred
